Study Indicates Scatter Radiation Lower When Using the Omega e-view

A recent article published in Digestive Endoscopy references a study by Florida Hospital’s Center for Interventional Endoscopy comparing the performance of two fluoroscopy systems, the Omega Medical fixed e-view and the GE Elite Mobile c-arm. The study aimed to identify means of reducing scatter radiation to therapeutic endoscopists and their personnel.

The study concluded that when compared to the Mobile c-arm, scatter radiation was significantly less when using the fixed Omega e-view fluoroscopy system.
