VIDEO: New Stereotaxis Robotic Electrophysiology Lab at Banner Health, Featuring Omega Imaging Technology

Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology (DAIC) conducted a virtual tour of the new Robotic Electrophysiology (EP) Lab at the Heart Institute, Banner University of Arizona Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona with Peter Weiss, M.D., MSc. Dr. Weiss is the director of ventricular arrhythmia management and robotics and assistant clinical professor of medicine at the Heart Institute.

There are significant safety and efficiency advantages of using robotic navigation in the electrophysiology lab. Instead of a rigid catheter, the soft and pliable catheter in this system moves with and cannot harm the tissue. The system also reduces fluoro imaging levels and improves ablation outcomes.

This site is the first U.S. install of the Stereotaxis Genesis robotic system and the second in the world. Omega Medical Imaging is proud to partner with Stereotaxis to provide the X-ray system with a fully integrated C-arm and table that provides a one-stop shop of robotics and X-ray all in one.

Omega Medical Imaging congratulates Dr. Weiss, Dr. Su, and the EP team at Banner Health on the installation of their new robotic electrophysiology lab.
