Omega Medical Imaging dealer Radiologic Resources will be exhibiting at the 7th Annual St. Louis Live Therapeutic Endoscopy Course on July 19th, 2013 in St. Louis, MO. This course is endorsed by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

At the course, participants will observe live endoscopy demonstrations with moderation by guest faculty and will have the opportunity to engage in a continual interaction with the endoscopy team. The intended result of this activity is increased competence/knowledge, enhanced performance and improved patient outcomes. At the conclusion of this seminar attendees should be able to:

  • Provide state-of-the-art care within the field of interventional endoscopy. This will enable attendees to integrate technologic device advances with improved understanding of disease response to endoscopic interventions in an effort to improve patient care.
  • Assess biliary and pancreatic tract pathology by incorporating new technologies, including cholangioscopy and pancreatoscopy, into practice.
  • State the approaches to cannulate the bile duct and pancreatic duct and maintain access using various techniques and equipment platforms.
  • Discuss the role of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasonography in the management of pancreatic and biliary pathology such as cysts, tumors and pseudocysts.
  • Discuss the role of EMR and ablative therapies for Barrett’s esophagus within a case presentation and state when to apply each technique.
  • Define techniques for deep small bowel examination and removal of large colon polyps.
  • Explain the clinical application of POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy).
  • Provide an up-to-date report of POEM and its limitations/complications.
