Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA recently held a ribbon-cutting celebration in their newly renovated gastroenterology lab. The team is extremely excited to have a dedicated lab after years of sharing space with the OR. Dr. Kinnari Kher and Dr. William Brugge, along with Nurse Manager Lorri Mease and Director of Cardiology and Perioperative Services Mary Jo Sharkey, led the project to update the facility with the latest imaging technology to better benefit their patients.
Serving the Greater Boston area, Mount Auburn is dedicated to delivering top notch care and services to their patients. The Hospital is a teaching healthcare system affiliated with Harvard Medical School and makes significant contributions to educating the caregivers of tomorrow. Mount Auburn is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health – expanding access to great care.
The interventional endoscopy lab is used for therapeutic gastroenterology procedures such as ERCP, ablations, and other complex digestive health conditions. The centerpiece of the updated technology is the endoscopy system from Omega Medical Imaging.
The E-View™ is the only lab designed with features specifically developed for image-guided endoscopic GI procedures. The Omega lab is the most advanced imaging system available and is the safest solution for patients and staff. The system provides superior imaging during interventional procedures in GI labs and allows the physicians at Mount Auburn to provide better care.
“It is truly a step forward in making Mount Auburn technologically advanced.” – Dr. Kher
